After graduating from Hull University's Business School, Steve joined Smailes Goldie in 2001, and gained a National Order of Merit prize in the ICAEW taxation paper on the road to qualification!
A general practitioner, with a special interest in tax planning and mitigation, Steve's clients range from owner managed businesses to international groups and cover a wide variety of sectors, including the engineering, construction and processing industries.
Having worked alongside Nicki Shipley for a number of years, Steve has also developed extensive experience assisting new businesses with essential start-up, tax and compliance advice.
Steve became a Partner in April 2012.
