Smailes Goldie has become the latest official partner of the new private-sector led World Trade Centre Hull & Humber, which aims to help the region compete effectively on a global stage.

“We are delighted to be official partners of the World Trade Centre. It is actively promoting the advantages and capabilities of our region to an international audience and because Smailes Goldie is committed to helping local businesses on both sides of the River Humber, we felt it was important to get involved.
“Smailes Goldie has a wealth of experience and expertise to offer and we believe this alliance is a vital step in furthering the prosperity of Hull, the Humber and East Yorkshire.”
The World Trade Centre, which has now entered it second year under private ownership, provides leadership for the promotion of trade and investment, organises trade missions to explore new markets and works to attract international delegations of business people looking for opportunities in the UK.
Lindsay West, joint managing director of Garthwest and a world trade centre director said:
“Having Smailes Goldie join us has further strengthened the team of official partners that run the centre, helping us to offer wider expertise to assist companies with their international trade activity and giving us access to a larger business network. We look forward to the year ahead with Smailes Goldie’s input.”
Jeremy Allison continued:
“We feel that our association puts us in a much better position to help businesses exploit the huge possibilities presented by international trade. What’s more, we can use the centre’s expertise and contacts to open up new opportunities which will benefit both us and our clients.”
