FAQs

I want to work in Accountancy and/or Tax but I don’t have a degree in Accountancy. Are there any opportunities for me?

Yes, you do not have to have a degree in accountancy. You can have a degree in any subject however, we do look for a 2:1 grade.

What are your entry level requirements for A level apprenticeship schemes?

3B’s or 120 Ucas points which equals the same as 3B’s.

Do you offer study support?

Yes, we offer full study and mentoring support.

Do you offer internships?

We do not offer internships.

Billy first joined Smailes Goldie in 2010 as an Audit and Accounts Trainee and later became a Manager in 2016. Billy was made a Partner of the firm in 2022.

Ben Thiim returned to Smailes Goldie in 2017 and was made Director of Capital Taxes, having started and trained with the firm in 2003 before relocating to London. In April 2021 Ben was appointed as a Partner.
