We are currently looking to expand our talented audit team and are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Audit Assistant Manager to join us.
Role Overview:
As an Audit Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in the execution of audits for a diverse client base. You will lead audit teams, manage client relationships, and ensure high-quality service delivery while adhering to deadlines and regulatory requirements. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious professional to take the next step in their career, working closely with Senior Managers and Partners to shape the future direction of our audit function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading audits from planning to completion for a diverse portfolio of clients, including SMEs, and larger corporations.
- Participating in the training, development, managing and coaching of junior staff, reviewing their work and supporting their professional development.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships, providing high-quality service and managing client expectations.
- Overseeing the preparation of financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Assisting with managing the audit workflow, budgets, and deadlines.
- Identifying areas of improvement for clients, providing advisory services and adding value to client engagements.
- Reviewing and finalising audit files and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Supporting Audit Managers and Partners with various ad-hoc tasks and internal initiatives.
Skills & Experience:
- ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) or qualified by experience.
- Proven experience in audit within a UK practice, with a good understanding of audit processes and UK accounting standards.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop junior staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
- Proactive, organised, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines effectively.
- A strong understanding of the current regulatory and compliance landscape for audits.
- Experience using audit software and Microsoft Office applications.
- A passion for delivering excellent client service and contributing to the success of a growing firm.
