Director 01482 221777 Click to email Ben
Having recently returned to the firm, Ben previously trained and qualified with Smailes Goldie before relocating to London for further life and work experience. Whilst in London, Ben worked in the tax advisory team of a top 20 UK national firm of tax advisors and accountants. In this role, Ben focused on the UK taxation of the RNDs and associated offshore structures, employee shares schemes and also investor tax reliefs for start-up companies raising private equity. Ben then moved to the London headquarters of a top 5 firm to join their international private wealth team. Whilst there, Ben focused purely on the UK taxation of RNDs and their associated offshore structures. Ben has therefore gained significant experience and insight in this technical and complicated area of UK taxation. In his new role at Smailes Goldie, Ben will focus on UK capital taxes, landed estates and the UK taxation of international clients. Ben is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (‘STEP’) and also holds the STEP advanced certificate for the UK taxation of international clients.
