Lois joined the firm in October 2017 and is our HR & Marketing Assistant.
Lois primarily supports the day-to-day running of the HR function within the firm. Her role includes assisting with employee administration, maintaining accurate records, supporting recruitment and onboarding, and helping with a range of general HR activities. Lois is also involved in some aspects of payroll, supporting key processes to help ensure accuracy and efficiency. She enjoys being part of a team that helps create a positive and well-organised experience for both colleagues and the wider business.
Alongside her HR responsibilities, Lois also helps to organise events throughout the year, such as our annual quiz night, golf days, and other staff activities that bring people together and help strengthen our firms culture. She takes pride in contributing to initiatives that support engagement and make Smailes Goldie a great place to work.
Lois is CIPD Level 5 qualified and is continuing to develop her knowledge and skills through studying for the CIPD Level 7. She is extremely ambitious, enthusiastic, and committed to growing within the HR profession. Most importantly, Lois strives to reflect the Smailes Goldie values of being Professional, Proud, and Passionate in everything she undertakes.
