Earlier this year, the UK and the US officially announced their new trade deal and building on this positive momentum, it has been confirmed that a record-breaking £150 billion of investment will be put into the UK from US companies.
The record investment will see up to 7600 jobs created, accelerate growth to stimulate the economy and offer opportunities to working people across the UK.
The deal is historic in more ways than one, but it also offers business owners an important reminder that it’s important to build good relationships with potential business partners or investors.
How will the investment work?
The US investment will see several sectors receive valuable funding, including energy, life sciences, manufacturing, engineering and aviation.
The largest investment will come from investment management company Blackstone, which has pledged to invest £100 billion. Other companies set to significantly invest in the UK include STAX, Amentum, Palantir and Prologis.
The investment will create jobs and specialised roles across the UK as the Government aims to deliver on its plan for change.
It isn’t just the UK benefitting long term, as the US is also receiving major investment from the UK, with companies such as GSK, Sage and Revolut investing and sharing a similar ambition to their US counterparts to boost economic growth and offer new opportunities.
