We are growing our talented audit team and are looking for an enthusiastic, driven Audit Assistant Manager to join us.

What does this role entail?

As an Audit Assistant Manager, you will lead audit teams, manage client relationships and deliver high-quality work to deadlines and regulatory requirements. Working closely with Managers and Partners, you will also help shape the future direction of our audit function.

What are your responsibilities:

  • Leads audits from planning through to completion for a varied portfolio, including SMEs and larger corporations.
  • Review and finalise audit files, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Train, manage and coach junior colleagues, review their work and support their professional development.
  • Build strong client relationships, deliver a high-quality service and manage expectations clearly.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements in line with UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • Work alongside other departments to deliver an efficient package of services to clients
  • Help manage audit workflow, budgets and deadlines.
  • Identify improvements for clients, provide advisory support and add value to engagements.
  • Support Audit Managers and Partners with ad hoc tasks and internal initiatives.

Skills/Experience

  • ACA/ACCA qualified.
  • The ability to motivate, manage and develop junior colleagues.
  • A proactive, detail-focused approach and confidence managing multiple clients and deadlines.
  • Experience using audit software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proven UK practice audit experience and a strong grasp of audit processes and UK accounting standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • A strong understanding of the current audit regulatory and compliance landscape.
  • A passion for excellent client service and contributing to the success of a growing firm.
