We are currently seeking an accomplished Tax Manager to spearhead the development of our Personal Tax Department in our Scarborough Office. This is a pivotal role designed for a professional ready to combine high-level technical advisory with strategic team leadership.
Core Responsibilities:
- Direct and mentor a team of Tax Seniors and Trainees, cultivating a culture of technical excellence and collaborative knowledge sharing.
- Serve as the primary advisor for the firms client base, including individuals, partnerships, trusts, and estates.
- Identify and implement complex tax planning opportunities and provide expert technical guidance on bespoke projects.
- Oversee the integrity of the personal tax return process and manage high-level compliance cases within your portfolio.
- Manage HMRC enquiries and compliance checks with professional precision.
- Drive departmental efficiency through proactive management of billing processes and monthly WIP reviews.
Qualification/Experience:
We are looking for someone with at least 5 years’ experience in a tax-focused role or similar professional environment. ATT/CTA qualification (or equivalent) is preferred. You will have strong leadership skills, excellent technical knowledge, and a client-focused approach.
