The Opportunity:
We are now looking for an enthusiastic and organised Tax Senior to support our Personal Tax team in delivering excellent client service. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop a career in taxation while gaining hands-on experience across a varied client portfolio. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of personal tax returns for a range of clients.
- Support the competition of capital gains tax computations.
- Prepare and maintain client records and tax documentation.
- Liaise with HMRC and clients regarding routine tax matters.
- Support senior colleagues with tax compliance and administrative duties.
- Assist with client billing and collection processes.
- Conduct basic tax research and assist in preparing technical information.
- Ensure work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
- Build positive working relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Support the wider tax team with ad hoc projects assignments.
Skills/Experience
- ATT qualified or relevant job experience.
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable:
- Experience preparing personal tax returns.
- Knowledge of self-assessment procedures.
- Previous experience in an accountancy or tax environment is desirable.
- Ambition to study towards CTA qualification.
