Donna joined the firm in January 2011 and is Smailes Goldie’s HR Manager.
Donna is responsible for leading the firm’s people strategy and day-to-day HR function across all office locations. She works closely with partners and managers to support the recruitment, development, and retention of talented people, ensuring the firm continues to provide an engaging and supportive place to work.
With extensive experience across all areas of human resources, Donna advises on employee relations, performance management, recruitment, wellbeing, learning and development, and organisational change. She plays a key role in driving people-focused initiatives, including career development frameworks, employee engagement projects, leadership development and the firm’s appraisal process.
Donna is passionate about creating positive workplace cultures where individuals can thrive and achieve their potential. She enjoys building strong relationships across the business and helping managers and employees navigate both opportunities and challenges with confidence.
Outside of work, Donna is actively involved in her local community as a school governor and is committed to supporting personal growth and development in others.
