With over a decade’s accounting experience since starting his accounting career at Smailes Goldie, Jamie has extensive experience across many areas of the profession. From corporate finance to compliance, he has diverse skills to help businesses and individuals.

A people person at heart, Jamie is always keen to put clients’ needs first and provide professional, targeted advice that delivers outstanding results.

These skills and knowledge enable Jamie to work closely with clients, whether SMEs, large companies or global groups, to obtain the results and best outcomes they require. This encompasses audit and tax compliance across many sectors.

A keen problem solver, he relishes advising and helping clients by engaging with them and the most suitable finding solutions.

Jamie is a keen team player both at and outside of work. In fact, his journey with Smailes Goldie began when he was a player for Hull Pirates professional ice hockey team, including during his time as Team Captain.

It was through the firm’s sponsorship of the team that he became aware of a career in the practice, later joining as an accounts trainee in 2013.

These days outside of work, having hung up his ice skates, Jamie can be found in the more sedate surroundings of the golf course.
