After training and qualifying at Smailes Goldie, Martin became a Partner in 1996.
With over 30 years’ experience as a general practitioner and with an agricultural specialism, Martin offers comprehensive business planning, wealth protection and tax mitigation advice to families, their businesses and private clients.
He has built and developed a unique specialism in the rural business sector, including the many diversifications agricultural clients have been pursuing in recent years, and is currently Chairman of the North East UK200 Agricultural Group. His specialism lends itself to dealing with the complexities surrounding the use of trusts and linked business structures to sensibly protect a family’s assets in practical ways within long term strategies.
Outside his professional work, Martin is encouraging his twin daughters to follow his interest in sport. Quite when that will culminate in a full day’s cricket at Scarborough for them, we shall have to wait and see!
