Shaun Morrill FCA MAAT joined the firm in 2004 and is a Manager in our Outsourcing team.
Shaun’s role consists of the preparation of monthly/quarterly financial information, including management accounts from clients’ records, whether this is on-site at a client’s premises or remotely. As part of his role Shaun will assist the shareholders/directors of a company with all queries and day-to-day client matters and liaise with a Smailes Goldie partner on general issues and specific one-off projects. Shaun can also deal with preparing VAT returns as well as the implementation, monitoring, and checking of the client system and process controls. Shaun provides accounting advisory services which involves liaising with corporation tax, personal tax, VAT, and payroll teams as appropriate. Furthermore, he can manage the client’s requirement for financial forecasts with assistance from our Corporate Finance team. With a previous thirteen years of experience in audit, Shaun provides supporting schedules in preparation for audits and assists auditors with any queries they may have.
Shaun likes seeing and being involved in the day-to-day running of a business and working with clients on providing figures and analysis that can help the client’s business meet its targets and expectations. Shaun likes the problem-solving element that the management accountant role can bring and enjoys learning new things with regards to Tax and VAT, which can enhance his role.
Shaun enjoys spending time and having fun with his son and family. He likes playing and watching all sports and is a bit of a film buff.
