Dress down days
Every Friday, we hold a Dress Down Day in exchange for charitable donations from members of staff, which typically raise around £50 – £70 a week.

Hey Smile Foundation – Trustee Academies
Every two months, we hold Trustee Academies in conjunction with the Hey Smile Foundation, to help charity trustees get to grips with their responsibilities under the Charity Commission’s accounts rules.

Hull Daily Mail Sporting Champions Awards
We sponsored the Community category at the Hull Daily Mail Sporting Champions Awards once again this year.
Christmas Advent Calendar initiative
We held a Christmas Advent Calendar raffle over the course of 15 days in December, selling tickets to staff and donating the proceeds to Hull Women’s Aid.
Hull Daily Mail Business Awards
We supported local businesses once again by sponsoring the Business of the Year: Small – Under 25 Employees category at the Hull Daily Mail Business Awards.
Annual Golf Day
We held our Annual Golf Day at Burstwick Golf Course, raising more than £3,000. Over the years, we have supported charities including the Samaritans, the No Way Trust, Emmaus UK and Hull Women’s Aid.
Lamb Racing
We were main sponsors of the Skirlaugh Young Farmers Lamb Racing Event, which was attended by several people from our team.
Football Tournament
We entered the Stephen Hughes Foundation’s annual football tournament, with the Smailes Goldie team progressing through the group stages, before being knocked out in the semi-finals.
Quiz Night
We held our second annual quiz night for the HEY Smile Foundation at The Country Park Inn, raising around £3,000.
