Hull-based accountancy firm, Smailes Goldie will be walking Around the Wolds on 13 October as part of its landmark campaign to raise £22,000 in 2022.
The teams will be walking the beautiful 79-mile Yorkshire Wolds Way national trail in seven teams with five charities being supported and around 90 staff members involved in the challenge.
This route from the Humber Bridge to Filey has been chosen as the trail is celebrating its 40-year anniversary and Smailes Goldie has acquired three North Yorkshire offices this year.
The idyllic trail means all five offices have been able to take part in this challenge and have set a goal of raising £10,000 in total.
Smailes Goldie has put significant efforts into fundraising this year is past the halfway mark to its £22K goal with an incredible £11,862 having been raised so far through a skydive, the Pretty Muddy Challenge, dress-down days and more.
The teams at Smailes Goldie have had a lot of fun creating a team name and preparing for the walk. Each team is walking a different part of the route in support of its chosen charities.
The Audit Trail, Ag-Venture and Scrambled Legs are walking for the British Heart Foundation while Red Hot Chilli Steppers are walking for Myers Beck Nursery.
Team Penny Patrol have chosen to support PAUL for Brain Recovery, Ryedale Rovers are supporting Cancer Research UK and Scarborough Great Walkers are walking for Scarborough Hospital, Urgent & Emergency Care Appeal.
