The HEY Smile Foundation, a local infrastructure charity, with its core purpose to empower charities, people, and communities, will deliver its 13th Trustee Academy Programme on 14 September.
The Programme, sponsored by Smailes Goldie accountants, has committed to training future charity trustees, to develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence to make a real difference to charities across Hull & East Yorkshire.
Jamie Lewis, Smile’s Chief Executive said: “The upcoming programme delegates will complete the process feeling more confident and far better equipped for take on a Trustee role.
“Although trustees are passionate and caring individuals, they often need training to better understand the role and responsibilities of being a Trustee, enabling them to effectively run a charity.”
Over 11 sessions (delivered via Zoom) the delegates will learn about a range of topics, taught by experts across the private, public, and voluntary sectors.
“Smile is committed to educating and training both existing and future trustees of charities across Hull & East Yorkshire. Quality trustees are vital to charities. We want to make sure they are equipped with the skills and knowledge they need,” Jamie added.
