Leading accountancy firm Smailes Goldie has joined many businesses across Hull, East and North Yorkshire to donate to Viking FM’s Mission Christmas toy appeal.

Staff from the firm’s offices donated toys and helped to raise more than £165, which was used to fund the purchase of more festive treats.

Mission Christmas, the UK’s biggest Christmas toy appeal, is an annual initiative organised by Cash for Kids and backed by Viking FM.

In 2020, the campaign gathered more than £12.7 million in gifts and funding, which ensured that more than a quarter of a million children and young people received presents on Christmas Day.

Ian Lamb, Managing Partner at Smailes Goldie, said: “We are grateful to all of our team for making a donation to Mission Christmas. They have all rallied behind this cause and were eager to do their bit.

“We hope the gifts we have provided will make Christmas special for many children who will benefit from this incredible gift appeal.”
