Hull-based accountancy, tax and business advisory firm, Smailes Goldie, has appointed Matthew Fox as a Partner in its audit and assurance team as it continues to grow rapidly.
Matthew joins Smailes Goldie after spending 16 years at a Big Four firm, most recently as an Associate Partner leading the audit of corporate clients across a variety of sectors.
He brings extensive experience working with businesses in across a variety of sectors including manufacturing and retail, with a particular interest in the food supply chain, from farming through production, distribution and retail.
Matthew takes pride in his collaborative approach to working with clients and colleagues alike.
He said: “I enjoy working with clients to help them achieve their goals and overcome challenges, whether through providing specialist technical knowledge to supplement their own team or taking responsibility for elements of their finance functions to free up their time to focus on running their business.
